I’ve held down odd jobs and made a career talking to people but I’ll tell you I’m an introvert. I don’t enjoy the spotlight and would much rather write or read a book over work any day. Kit isn’t my name, it’s my Grandmother’s nickname but to protect the innocent (namely my family) I’m borrowing it so people stop giving me side-eye when they’ve read what I write and see me on the street!
I’ve been writing and developing stories since I was a little girl but like most stifled writers I never thought anyone but my family would ever read these.
After endless writing courses, writing group support and a small group of cheerleaders, I’ve finally gotten my stuff together and gathered my courage. It’s time.
Writing makes me happy, entertains me, and keeps me sane. I may or may not appreciate my day job but I’m learning to do what I love. I’ve worked my way through these stories and a few others, on and off, for fifteen years and realized if I don’t take the opportunity now, I’ll procrastinate forever.
After all this time I’ve learned that what I do love is my family, books, yoga, and wine, Depending on the day that order is subject to change.
